Different Faces, Different Films - Rethinking Race : Using Bierce's films - for Faculty

No special requirements for watching streaming video!

DVDs or other physical media

• Faculty can check out for 14 days with 1 renewal period

• Faculty can “book” a video for a particular date – contact media services

If you need equipment for showing in your classroom

• Contact AV services for equipment selection delivery

If you would like to use a media friendly-classroom to show your video:

• Technology Enhanced Classrooms available throughout campus

• Learning Studios available in Bierce Library  (look at specific room descriptions under “study space” to see technology already present in each room)

To place a physical copy on reserve, please complete this online form

Currently, we cannot embed a video in a SpringBoard page.  When the problem is resolved, this page will be updated.  In the meantime:

• a link to a streaming video can be placed into a SpringBoard course page; when adding a link, place this prefix before the URL:  https://login.ezproxy.uakron.edu:2443/login?url= .  This will prompt the ezproxy login, which will authenticate your students as UA student

• or, to be safest, link to the record of the video in the catalog and place that link in your SpringBoard page.  When the student connects through from the record, the ezproxy prefix is automatically added

You can try requesting via OhioLINK or Inter Library Loan (ILL), but many institutions to do not lend AV materials outside of their own institutions.
