SciFinder Scholar is the single most used chemistry database at University of Akron and this guide is designed to help you get the most out of it. The three main ways to search SciFinder are -

Chemical information primarily from Chemical Abstracts, CAS registry, and Medline. Excellent search tool for finding chemical information from journals, patents, conference proceedings, and technical reports. Training for SciFinder-n is available from the vendor

Explore References
Use to search by keywords, author, patent, company name, a specific citation, or document identifier.
Explore Substances
Search by substance name, molecular formula, property, or drawing/importing structures.
Explore Reaction Structure
Find reactions by drawing or importing a structure.
