Curbside Pickup and Home Delivery can be selected when requesting University of Akron Libraries and OhioLINK materials. UA faculty, staff, and students can request books directly through the library’s catalog. At the end of the request, you can select either “Pick up at Bierce” or “Home Delivery.”
Once we receive the request, we will email you directly about the procedures for delivery or pickup. Home delivery will follow the current procedures of mailing material to your current address. For pickup, you can either pick up material in Bierce Library’s lobby or by curbside pickup. All curbside pickups must have an appointment, which will be scheduled through LibCal with staff assistance. There is no charge for these delivery options.

Books and media can be dropped off at any time in the library drop box located by the entrance of the library.
Laptops and equipment should be returned to the lobby during our open hours.
All returns will be quarantined for a minimum of 3 days before being removed from patron accounts.
Due dates are subject to further extension as determined by the Library.
