Go to the Wayne College Library website and select "Databases by Title:"
Enter the title of the database, Social Work Abstracts, then "Submit:"
Select the title of the database to begin searching. If accessing Social Work Abstracts from home you will need to provide your UAnet ID and Password for access:
To find articles from the journal, Social Work, you should start your search in a database that includes this journal. We recommend starting in the Social Work Abstracts database (see instructions above).
Toward the top of the page, select "Indexes" to browse specific journal titles:
Select "Publication Name" from the Index menu and type in the name of the Journal you want to search, "Social Work."
Select the box next to the journal title, Social Work, then select "Search"
Use the publication date limiter to ensure you are considering articles within your assignment's guidelines and add a keyword search strategy to locate focused results:
Full text for this specific journal is unavailable for articles published in the past 12 months. You will need to request any of these articles by completing an Interlibrary Loan request.
Access the database, Social Work Abstracts. (See instructions at the top of this guide).
Perform a search using carefully chosen keywords and phrases, joined with appropriate operators. Remember to truncate your terms appropriately. Use the "publication date" limiter to ensure you will retrieve articles from the appropriate range of dates.
Create an account in EBSCOhost to access your personalized account, which is accessible across your favorite Ebsco databases, including Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete, CINAHL, PsycInfo, Social Work Abstracts, and many more!
Start out by accessing an EBSCO database. In this example we are using Academic Search Complete. Select the "Sign In" option to begin creating your account:
Either sign in with your established EBSCOhost credentials, or "Create a New Account"
Complete the registration form and "Save Changes:"

Because all University of Akron students automatically have a Gmail account, you can use this same account to use Google Docs.
