This free service allows researchers to make research open access while avoiding the expensive standard article processing charges. The first of these deals was agreed to in 2021.

There is an annual maximum number of articles that can be covered by this deal. When the limit is reached the option to have the article processing charge (APC) covered by the institution will no longer display.
