Organized labor and collective bargaining played an important role in the history of Akron and surrounding areas. Industrialization, especially in the rubber industry, caused a rise in union activity, but organized labor has been important to other industries and occupations as well. From the United Rubber Workers to the International Chemical Workers Union to the Akron Chapter of the American Association of University Professors, the effects of organized labor and collective bargaining can be investigated and documented through the university, city, region, and beyond.
This guide contains information on resources related to organized labor and collective bargaining located in Archives and Special Collections of University Libraries.
