Upon graduation students should possess the following information competencies. Both, the original Information Literacy Competency Standards and the updated Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education provide a framework for imparting and assessing information skills. These competencies provide students with a framework for gaining control over how they interact with information, making them conscious of the explicit actions required for gathering, analyzing, and using information.
