Streaming Video Resources
Films On Demand
This database features over 35,000 streaming video titles covering over 25 subject areas. This database contains educational videos, news footage, and documentaries. The library subscribes to this content and it is available for unlimited use.
This database features a variety of streaming video content including award winning films, educational titles, and documentaries from many production companies. The library pays for this content based on usage. Therefore, Kanopy videos must be requested (via the Kanopy platform) and approved by UL before becoming available. Videos required as part of courses will be approved. UL intends to support all course-related Kanopy requests. However, as our allocated funding for this resource is expended, there could be additional limitations placed on the availability of Kanopy videos.
Swank Motion Pictures
This database features streaming motion pictures. Each movie is licensed individually through the library. This content is exclusively for educational use and course integration when needed. Faculty interested in having streaming motion pictures should use the streaming video request form found on this page. The library subscribes to this content and it is available for unlimited use.
Please contact Sean Kennedy (firstname.lastname@example.org), Collections and Content Strategies Librarian, if you are interested in using streaming video for any non-classroom group, event, etc. The library has some Copyright restrictions on where films can be shown. We can work with you to understand if the film can be used in a non-classroom way and/or to help you obtain the appropriate permissions to ensure we are not in Copyright violation.
