Click on the login URL to access your Interlibrary Loan account. You will be asked to confirm your UANet credentials, then directed over to your ILL account.
In your ILL account you will be able to make a new request, review past requests, and review your communication preferences.
Under communication preferences you can add a phone number to receive text updates in addition to email updates. UL recommends that you have at least email updates turned on to receive the best service.
Interlibrary Loan is reserved for students, staff, and faculty affiliated with University of Akron. An active UANet ID is required for ILL services. No services are currently being offered to corporate affiliates.
Since results vary depending on factors outside of our control, we do not have a standard timeline for Interlibrary Loan. If you have questions about a specific request, please contact ask@uakron2.libanswers.com with your Request ID number.
A request may be canceled for various reasons:
ILL are available for pickup at either the Bierce Library or the Science and Tech Library. Students will need to provide some form of ID to check out the book.
ILL Users will now see ILL holds and ILL checkouts through their MyLibrary account, in addition to their ILL Account.
Students associated with the Law Library should refer to the ILL services provided for that particular branch.
Overdue fines are 50 cents per day.
After about three days being overdue the loan will become Billed and show a replacement cost of $180. Returning the book will drop the fine down to $100.
If a loan is checked out and not returned, the user will be expected to pay the $180 replacement cost of the book.
Lending libraries get to decide whether renewals are possible. Please contact ask@uakron2.libanswers.com or call 330-972-6275 to see if renewals are possible. Asking to renew a loan does not guarantee an extension, so plan accordingly.
