Welcome to our guide for the Cleveland Composers Guild Collection, held at The University of Akron. This collection contains scores, sound recordings, and archival materials (including printed programs for many of the Guild's concerts), dating from the late 1950s through the early 2020s. Most resources are housed in Archives and Special Collections; others are available and can be checked out from Bierce Library.
University Archives and Special Collections has several unprocessed boxes of papers from the Guild. In 2022, they also received an extensive collection of materials from the estate of Mary Ann and Stephen T. Griebling, who were active Akron-based Guild members. For assistance accessing these collections, contact Archives and Special Collections at archives@uakron.edu (or 330-972-7670).
The 'Guild Members' tab offers links to search for works by individual composers in our catalog.
