The books discussed by the Fireside Readers are selected using a democrat voting method that changes regularly. We sometimes select titles that fit a theme, sometimes we avoid books with topics we've already read about, and sometimes we allow for a veto. We aim for books between 300-500 pages for most months, and we save the longer selections for over the winter holiday break. We keep a running list of books we have considered in the past as a reference and sometimes we go back to the well and reconsider a book we've passed over in the past.
