What is a DOI?

DOI: Digital Object Identifier
Since the Internet is prone to breaks in links, the DOI is provided as a way locate a scholarly journal, even if the link has been broken when information gets moved or is changed.

How to Use Database Citation Tools

 Use Citing Tools* to Manage Your Citations 

  • If you are interested in a citation(s), click the 'Folder' icon next to the citation you want.  These citations will be temporarily stored in a folder. Note: the folder turns yellow when citations have been added.

                    

  • When you are ready to email, print or export your citation(s), click on the "Folder View" link located on the left-side of the Page Results page.

* Do not rely on library database citation tools as they are usually incorrect! Please check references before submitting you paper!

IMPORTANT: The email the database vendor will look like the image below.  Please remember to check that the reference is cited properly in APA style.  The example below has errors.  For example, the first letter of "challenges" should be capitalized.
