Banned Books Week | September 18 – 24, 2022

 

University Libraries  at The University of Akron is celebrating Banned Books Week by highlighting select print books, CDs, DVDs, streaming videos, eBooks, and streaming audio from our collections.  If you're on campus during September please stop by and visit our display at Bierce Library. 

About Banned Books Week:

If you're on campus during September please stop by and visit our Banned Books Week display at Bierce Library. All items on display are available for checkout according to current UL Circulation Policies.

All of the titles on this list may also be available for request from OhioLINK and SearchOhio Libraries. 

If a title you’re interested in has already been checked-out - check to see if it’s available for request through OhioLINK or SearchOhio:

1.  On the record display screen in the UA Libraries Catalog , click on the OhioLINK icon to repeat your search in OhioLINK

find it on ohiolink 

2, On the record display screen in the UA Libraries Catalog , click on the SearchOhio icon to repeat your subject search in SearchOhio

 find it on search Ohio .  

If  available in OhioLINK or SearchOhio, click on the Request Button and enter your UAnet ID and password to request the item.  You'll receive an email notification when the item has been received and is ready for pick-up. 

All UA University Libraries provide access to a variety of eBooks collections. Below are links to select titles from these collections. University Libraries eBook collections are available for on-campus and remote use by current UA students, faculty, staff, and emeritus. If you're off-campus you'll be prompted to enter your UAnet ID and password for access.
