Placing an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If you are trying to access an article but cannot see the full text, you can request the article from another library through an Interlibrary Loan Request. Often you can do this without manually entering information by using ZipSearch. Having ZipSearch autofill the article information can be a big time saver, especially if you are requesting multiple articles.

How to place an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request ZipSearch.

  1. Go to the ZipSearch Homepage.
  2. Deselect the 'At my library' filter.
  3. Search by the title of the article you are trying to request.
  4. Select the 'Access now' dropdown.
  5. Select 'Request through interlibrary loan'.
  6. You may be prompted to login using UANET ID and password depending on if you have recently logged into another UAkron service.
  7. Review the info in the request and make any necessary changes.
  8. Submit request.
