Article Sharing/Faculty Profiles

To publicize and share your scholarship, follow these steps (links are to sections of this guide, not to the service itself):

  1. Step One: Set up a Google Scholar Author Profile. Google Scholar pulls in works from HeinOnline and other publishers. It generates a list of works that it thinks belong to you, and you can select which ones you actually wrote.
  2. Step Two:  Set up an Orcid Id, and import your works from Google Scholar into Orcid. See the instructions in the Orcid section below on how to export works from Google Scholar into Orcid using a Bibtex file.
  3. Create an SSRN author page. You can import works from Orcid.
  4. Create your Selected Works Profile (this is going away, so don't. The library is looking for substitutes). But you still want to make sure your works are in the institutional repository, IdeaExchange.
  5. Create your HeinOnline Profile. You can import works from Orcid.
