About the Law Library

The law library is open to students and faculty when the law building is open plus 24/7 via swipe card.

Fall/ Spring Library staffed hours:

• 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday
• 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday
• Note exceptions below.

The library is open to the public Monday - Friday. We encourage you to make an appointment by calling (330) 972-7339 to ensure a reference librarian is available. 

Reference Librarian Hours:

Summer Semester Library Staffed Hours:

• Monday, Sept. 1, Labor Day - closed
• Thursday, Nov. 27 - Sun. Nov. 30, Thanksgiving - Closed.
• Wednesday, Dec. 17 - Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 - Remote services only on dates we are open. Email us at ualawlibrary@uakron.edu. 
  • Monday, Dec. 22 - Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026 - Library Closed for the Holidays.

Spring Semester 2026

• Monday, Jan. 19, Martin Luther King Day - closed.
• Spring Break - Mon.-Sun., March 23-29 - Open Mon.- Fri. Staff hours will end at 4:00 p.m.

Summer Interim I - May 10 - May 24 - Open Mon.- Fri. Staff hours will end at 4:00 p.m.

Summer Semester 2025

• Monday, May 25 - Memorial Day - closed.
• Friday, June 19- Juneteenth - closed.
• Friday, July 3 - closed
