Searching the Catalogs for Books

To identify books, you can search the three main catalogs:

UA Libraries Catalog

Indexes print and electronic books, magazines and journals, videos, music, and other resources that are owned by UA.

 OhioLINK Central Catalog

Indexes books, videos, music, electronic resources from college and university libraries, the State Library of Ohio, and some large public libraries in Ohio. Request online, with delivery to the Bierce or Science & Technology Library in 2-3 business days. 

You can also access the OhioLink catalog by clicking on the "Search OhioLink" button in UA Library catalog. Search OhioLink button
This will repeat the search you just did in the UA catalog in the OhioLINK catalog.


WorldCat Catalog 

Identify materials at tens of thousands of academic, public, and special libraries internationally.  You can request things not owned by UA or OhioLINK via interlibrary loan -- average delivery time is 17 days.

Finding Theses and Dissertations

Only the first option includes full text.  Although the other sites may allow you to purchase theses, request them via InterLibrary Loan to receive copies free of charge.
