Fastcase - Free for Law Students and Faculty

Academic users have free access to Fastcase. Sign up here.

Many lawyers use Fastcase as an economical option to Lexis or Westlaw. Fastcase provides case law, court rules, statutes and regulations, both federal and state. It also has a Shepards-like feature. Currently, coverage for Ohio unreported cases begins with 2004. However, Fastcase and Casemaker have merged, so it is possible some of Casemaker's coverage of unreported cases back to 1981 may be incorporated.

Fastcase also has a docket service, Docket Alarm, which is not free for academic users. There are also treatises on Fastcase, but most are not free for academic users.
